Kuwait : Kuwait has decided to re-examine the driving licenses of foreigners. According to reports, the traffic department in the Gulf state of Kuwait intends to filter the driving licenses issued especially to immigrants.
The purpose of this measure is to review all the data of the licenses issued to the immigrants and to implement the requirements included in the ministerial decision especially the salary and their eligibility, or the exemption given in the organizational decision on the condition of salary.
This decision has been taken to ensure implementation of the directive of the Secretary to the Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Faisal Al Nawaf.
In this regard, the sources said that according to the new instructions, the holders of driving licenses will be checked and in case of non-fulfillment of salary requirement, the licenses will be revoked.
He added that for example, there are accountants and drivers who have obtained driving licenses. Also a media employee who had obtained a driver's license and the salary condition was not clear and he was given exemption but he went into a non-media field. This will also take the driving license.
