Members of the US Senate Armed Services and Intelligence Committee meet with the Army Chief

RAWALPINDI: Members of the US Senate Armed Services and Intelligence Committee, led by Senator Angus King, have called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The delegation included Senator Richard Burr, Senator John Corn and Senator Benjamin Sass.

Angela Aguilar, US Secretary of State for Pakistan, also accompanied the delegation. According to DG ISPR, issues of mutual interest, current situation in Afghanistan and bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed during the meeting.

The US Senators appreciated Pakistan's role in the Afghan situation, especially in border management and regional stability, and reiterated their commitment to further strengthen diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
