Government records export and tax collection claims

ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary Commerce Alia Hamza has claimed that the government has collected record exports and taxes this year.

In the release of economic indicators, PTI National Assembly member Alia Hamza Malik said that the export products have increased by 27% this year as compared to last year while the export goods have reached .3 12.35 billion.

In the first four months of the current financial year, remittances increased by 12% to 10 10.55 billion. According to government data, textile exports increased by 30% this year, textile exports to 7. 7.84 billion and IT exports. IT exports rose 39% to JULY 830 million in July-October 2021.

From July to November 2021, revenue of Rs. 2314 billion was collected and foreign exchange reserves increased by 13%. Car sales in Pakistan increased by 71%, tractor sales by 14% and domestic cement sales by 1%. According to the government report, sales of fertilizer urea have increased by 10%, petroleum sales by 22% and cotton sales by 54% this year as compared to last year.

Alia Hamza Malik said that PML-N left 28 284 billion in GDP during its tenure but now GDP has reached the second highest level of 31 315 billion in history. Alia Hamza said that in the large scale manufacturing index 5% increase, Prime Minister Imran Khan's best policies have improved the country's economy.

He further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had first saved Pakistan from bankruptcy otherwise it has become the backbone of economy, industry and agriculture.
