LAHORE: Hundreds of scholars participating in the three-day teaching workshop of Nizam-e-Madaris Pakistan in a joint statement condemned the Sialkot tragedy and expressed their determination to pay utmost attention to education as well as morals and character building of Madrassa students. Will

The clerics said in a joint statement that such violent incidents had nothing to do with the peaceful teachings of Islam and that those responsible should be severely punished in accordance with the law.

Addressing the Ulema on the concluding day, Chairman Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that teachers and Ulemas should educate the new generation as well as teach them literature and ethics. Imams and muhaddithin used to differ on jurisprudential matters, but the relationship of literature and respect between them remained constant.

Scholarly differences were never disconnected, unfortunately today necks are cut, this violent attitude has nothing to do with Mustafavi teachings.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri congratulated the teachers and madrassas, moderators and moderators who participated in the three-day teaching workshop. He said that soon Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri would also address the scholars on scientific topics. He said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and Minhaj-ul-Quran International were promoting inter-religious tolerance and unity of the Ummah.

Allama Imdadullah Qadri, Dr. Mumtaz Al Hassan Barvi, Dr. Shabir Jami, Allama Mir Asif Akbar, Allama Farooq Rana, Allama Badr-ul-Zaman, Allama Saeed Raza Baghdadi, Dr. Shafaqatullah Baghdadi, Dr. Faizullah Baghdadi, Allama Ghulam Murtaza Alvi, Izhar-ul-Haq, Imran Bhatti, Allama Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi, Haroon Sani, Abdul Rehman Bukhari addressed the gathering. The closing ceremony was attended by Brigadier (retd) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees, GM Malik, Rana Nafees Hussain Qadri, Mazhar Mahmood Alvi, Sedrah Karamat, Tam Habiba Ismail, renowned journalist and columnist Hafiz Shafiqul Rehman, Mian Habib, Qazi Faiz.
