ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry visited the Sri Lankan High Commission and expressed regret over the incident that took place in Sialkot.
On Tuesday, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry called on the Ambassador of Sri Lanka High Commission and apprised him of the steps taken by the government regarding the Sialkot tragedy.
He condemned the Sialkot incident across the country and said that all the accused involved in the Sialkot tragedy have been arrested and they will be given severe and exemplary punishment as per law.
On the occasion, the Sri Lankan High Commissioner said that he was satisfied with the steps taken by the Government of Pakistan. He said that the tragedy would not have any negative impact on the relations between the two countries.
