Beijing: Following the US boycott of the 2022 Olympics, China has also announced retaliatory measures.
According to the British News Agency, Chinese Foreign Minister Zhao Lijian strongly condemned the announcement of US diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Olympics.
The Chinese foreign minister did not elaborate on the response.
It may be recalled that the United States had announced a diplomatic boycott of the Olympics a day earlier expressing concern over the human rights situation.
A statement from the White House said, "US diplomats will not participate in the Olympics, but athletes will be allowed to compete, with full government sponsorship."
