Paris: French President Emmanuel McKeown has said that Beijing will not boycott the Winter Olympics.
According to a foreign news agency, in a statement, French President Emmanuel said that a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics was of no use and was merely symbolic.
He said that either a complete boycott should be carried out and the athletes should not be sent or an attempt should be made to change things by keeping the situation normal. We should not politicize sports.
The United States, Britain, Canada and Australia have announced a diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing in February, citing human rights abuses in China.
