Indian Hindu extremists threaten to seize historic Mathura shrine

New Delhi: Hindu extremists in India have threatened to seize Mathura's Eid Gah.

According to Indian media, Hindu extremists in the Indian city of Mathura have announced to occupy and worship the 17th century royal shrine.

In addition to the five daily prayers, the Muslims of Mathura also offer Friday and Eid prayers at the Royal Eidgah Mosque in Mathura.

Earlier, Hindu extremists had martyred the historic Babri Masjid in Ayodhya in 1992. After the martyrdom of Babri Masjid, more than 2000 Muslims were martyred in anti-Muslim riots all over India.
