Islamabad : Leading Pakistani actress Mahira Khan’s drama ‘Hum Kahan ke Sachay Thay’ is garnering praise and criticism both at the same time because of the narration of toxic and abusive relationships.
An old video of Mahira is getting viral in which she talked against portraying antiheroes and villains as “The Hero Figure”. She said that you can’t show a woman being assaulted and a woman falling in love for that man. On the other hand, she is opting for such roles.
Netizens are criticizing her on her portrayal of a woman who falls in love with abusive man. They said that the drama Sadqay Tumharey was also like that. They said that Mahira should wisely choose dramas and her choices and words are totally contradictory. A lot of fans said that Mahira should experiment with characters. They condemned her statement about the heroes.
