ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that highlighting Pakistan Day as a day of protest and disturbance in the name of the people is tantamount to serving the anti-national forces.
The PDM's call for a march on Pakistan Day is a very irresponsible and immoral act.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, responding to the PDM's Inflation March call, said that on March 23, the Armed Forces of Pakistan would hold a traditional parade on National Day in which foreign ambassadors and delegates including Pakistani people would also participate.
The capital, Islamabad, is on high alert for the parade. Some roads are closed two or three days in advance for preparation. At such a time, the call of March is not patriotic
It would be appropriate for the PDM to take up the call for March in April. Promoting Pakistan Day as a day of protest and disorder in the name of the people is tantamount to serving the anti-national forces.
