Lahore:The first "Overseas Global Convention" of Overseas Pakistanis living around the world will be held on December 23 at Governor House, Lahore. Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the overseas Pakistanis in the convention exclusively while overseas Pakistanis from all over the world, including Europe, will attend the convention.
According to details, Syed Makhdoom Tariq Ul Hassan, Vice Chairman Overseas Pakistani Commission Punjab called on Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar at Governor House Lahore to discuss the steps taken to address the issues of overseas Pakistanis, arrangements for the Overseas Global Convention and other issues.
During the meeting, matters regarding the preparations for the convention to be held on December 23rd at Governor House were finalized. The convention will be addressed by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and Syed Makhdoom Tariq Ul Hassan, Vice Chairman Overseas Pakistani Commission Punjab. Overseas Pakistanis from around the world, including the United States and United Kingdom, have been invited to attend the convention.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar while talking during the meeting, said that the role played by overseas Pakistanis in Pakistan's development and prosperity can not be described in words. The federal and Punjab governments under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan are working 24 hours to solve the problems of overseas Pakistanis and any kind of oppression and injustice against overseas Pakistanis will not be tolerated. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the PTI government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan has also fulfilled its promise to give the right to vote to overseas Pakistanis and government will ensure that overseas Pakistanis cast their votes in the next general elections for which full cooperation will be made with the Election Commission of Pakistan. The government also appreciates the role played by overseas Pakistanis in rescuing Pakistan from economic bankruptcy.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar while Appreciating the services of Makhdoom Tariq, Vice Chairman Overseas Pakistani Commission Punjab, said that the doors of Governor House are open 24 hours for Overseas Pakistanis. InshAllah we will stand with Overseas Pakistanis in every difficulty.
Syed Makhdoom Tariq Ul Hassan, Vice Chairman Overseas Pakistani Commission Punjab said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan we are working day and night to solve the problems of Overseas Pakistanis and protection of life and property of Overseas Pakistanis is our responsibility which will be fulfilled at every cost.
