Islamabad: 29 years have passed since the martyrdom of the historic Babri Masjid. The wounds of the Muslim Ummah are still fresh on this tragedy.

The historic Babri Masjid was martyred by thousands of Hindu extremists in Ayodhya, India, 29 years ago on December 6, 1992, after which the worst Hindu-Muslim riots in India erupted, killing thousands.

After the martyrdom of Babri Masjid, Hindus in India celebrate Victory Day on December 6 every year while the entire Muslim Ummah observes a day of mourning. Babri Masjid was a great masterpiece of the 16th century. The Babri Masjid was declared controversial and closed down in 1949, after which it remained a contentious issue between Muslims and Hindus. Heritage martyred the Babri Masjid, which was followed by the worst riots in the history of India, in which more than three thousand people were killed.
