A strong earthquake shook Karachi and many buildings shook

 The quake was felt in Karachi, Pakistan's largest city.

According to initial reports, the tremors in different parts of Karachi caused panic among the citizens.

The epicenter was reported below the epicenter, at 4.1 magnitude. According to the Seismological Center, the epicenter was 15 km north of Defense and a depth of 15 km was recorded.

The quake affected Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Hadid, II Chandragar Road, Malir, Scheme 33, Saddar, Gulzar-e-Hijri, Port Qasim, Quaidabad, Khokhrapar, Malir, Lyari, Sher Shah, Kharadar, Kemari and adjoining areas. ۔

People came out of their houses reciting the Kalima Tayyaba. There were no immediate reports of injuries or severe damage.

Earlier on August 21, tremors were also felt in different parts of the city.
