ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Supreme Court on Wednesday has
ordered to close illegal campuses of private universities across the country.
Member bench headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial conducted hearing of the case.The
court has directed to ensure implementation on the policies of Higher Education
Commission (HEC). No compromise will be tolerated on the higher education of
the youth, the apex court remarked.
HEC has clarified that the universities are not allowed to establish district
campuses.Meanwhile, lawyer Ali Zafar told that the students approached Lahore High Court
(LHC) for the matter of their degrees.
