India won the two-Test series against New Zealand

Mumbai: India beat New Zealand by 372 runs in the second Test to win the two-match series.

In the second Test played in Mumbai, the visitors scored 167 runs in pursuit of the target of 540 runs given by India.

 India's Jayant Yadav and Ashwin took four wickets each. India were bowled out for 325 in the first innings. The entire hosts were bowled out by Ijaz Patel. New Zealand could score only 62 runs in their first innings.

It may be recalled that the first Test between India and New Zealand in Kanpur was drawn after entering into thrilling moments. India has taken a 1-0 lead in the series.
